"test"imony

I was just idling away with some work today and surfing the net in the process...came across a couple of tests which I took just for the heck of it or so I like to fool myself...the first one was about IQ what you are supposed to be doing etc. and the other a more funny one was related to Harry Potter and how it applied to life and how you belong to one of the four houses the results are here to be seen

I must add I was really impressed with the IQ one as its pretty accurate about the kind of profession I am in or want to be in.

This is a summary of the IQ test (there was a graphic as well which I will post it later)

Congratulations, Zimog!
Your IQ score is 129

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Emode's Classic IQ test. Your IQ score is scientifically accurate; to read more about the science behind our IQ test, click here.

During the test, you answered four different types of questions — mathematical, visual-spatial, linguistic and logical. We analyzed how you did on each of those questions which reveals how your brain uniquely works.

We also compared your answers with others who have taken the test, and according to the sorts of questions you got correct, we can tell your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician.

This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. You would be best suited to an indutry in the field of design or Indsutrial engineering.

Here is how I would fare under the watchful eye of the hat in Harry Potter

You scored 24% Slytherin, 20% Ravenclaw, 72% Gryffindor, and 24% Hufflepuff!

You might belong in Gryffindor, Where dwell the brave at heart, Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart.

Gryffindors are known for their courage, audacity, and devotion to what is good and honest.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 46% on Slytherin
You scored higher than 26% on Ravenclaw
You scored higher than 94% on Gryffindor
You scored higher than 22% on Hufflepuff

doodles n inspiration

Some time back my hard drive had crashed on my laptop I never forgave my laptop for that (sounds like its a human!) but thankfully I recovered all my data after a gap of 7 days of the laptop not functioning however the data was in a mess and it had to be reogranized so I have been spending some of my time reorganizing this...its funny how you look at some files that have been sitting in your computer for ages and you havent looked at them in a while but just stored them as data and you dont know why but you have to back it up...

I came across a file which happened to be a transcript of a chat with a friend...I must admit I had a smirk on my face all along as I was reading the file...however the thing that caught by attention the most was a title (well almost) that I had come up for a book that I was planning, or was pretty gung ho, to write as the chat transcript would be testimony too. The title was "Mayhem in the Morning" I dont know exactly what I wanted to write about but it was something to do about habits people have in the mornings as they get ready to go wherever they go daily and the panic that sets in with alarm clocks, oven timers, coffee machines buzzing away...maybe I should follow up on that...now to find the extra couple of hours in the week when I can do that

What really made me think was why did I save the transcript in the first place was it suppose to be a reminder of something that I forgot to follow up on?

memories from the past

As promised I am bringing my blog that I had posted earlier in a different name up here I havent given up that account or the user name not that many would like to take it but I might find some use for it later for the moment I am going to remove the only entry from there and just leave a question mark on it. Here it is...

what does it mean to be free?
Is being able to say what you want freedom? what does it do for the person being spoken about?
How do you judge freedom? Who puts the boundaries on freedom and if there are boundaries then what is the meaning of the word freedom?
How does one achieve absolute freedom?

what is that controls the way the universe works? how does it expand if it is expanding and contracting if it is contracting who went to the end of the universe to say that it is expanding in a particular direction

I know what you are thinking at the moment what in the name of whoever is running the show is that? Too many questions and what was I thinking when I wrote them frankly I dont know myself but if I ever remember I will put them here...its a little over two years so I doubt I will remember

lost in thoughts

today was just one of those days where I was doing nothing but constantly thinking over things again and again...have you had a day where you do nothing just sit around stare at a monitor nothing in particular read a book or magazine and not even finish a complete paragraph and yes at the end of the day you feel tired from the amount of thinking that you have done...the sheer volume of the thinking makes you tired...well today was such a day for me.

not a bad way to start a fresh week...eh?

a day of escapades

I am back from the course, it took place in Metamora, MI, had great fun over the last three and half days started with getting lost all over the place (thanks to Yahoo! directons) and took almost 4 hrs to reach a place we should have in a little over an hour. (mental note if I 'ever' drive again dont use Yahoo dircetions....read more to find why the quotes)

on our way back one of my friends came to pick me up and I decided to give it a try to drive on freeways I did great in fact i surprised myself...however (you knew that was coming dint you:-)) I got of the exit and dint manage to slow down the car enough on time and rammed into, not very hard though, into a standing red toyota camry. Not the most pleasant feeling damaging someone else's car while learning how to drive...

I guess the insurance and stuff will take its time to come through till then I am thankful to the officer who decided not to come down on me for the mistake. Thanks wherever you are. I promise to learn and drive more carefully in future (if ever!)

start of another fresh week...more as it happens.

Kudos! to the blogger team they responded and my posts and updates showed up (yay!!!!!) but I am still trying to find out I can create multiple headings and create blogs within them if at all I can.

shoot in the boot

Total Firearms is the name of the place we went for shooting about 12 of us landed up there and decided to shoot pistols. Three of my friends accompanied me and the rest were people from local marksman club. The .38 has a very nice kick and you should have seen some of the new people starting out to shoot, one of them (my friend ofcourse!) almost fell back while trying to handle the gun.

However the highlight of the day was an American girl named Erika trying to pronounce our rather difficult Indian names it was fun to watch and got a new nick name called "Big A". We also imparted some knowledge and let them know that yes mauritius is an actual country and although its just off the coast of Africa no there are no jungle tribes there :-)

Today I leave for a 3 day meditation course so I dont think i will be posting anything till sunday however if I do manage to send anything telepathically it may show up so watch out for that.

Blogger Complain: I was trying desperately to update some of the links in the side bar but unfortunately dint have much luck with it hope the guys at tech support reply soon...till sunday adios!

blogs away...

This is my first normal blog, agreed I did write a couple of entries earlier in the last two days but they were purely from the point of view of experiment.

Last night saw a very good movie Final Solution its kind of up and down and felt a little scattered but overall gives a very thought provoking look at events that have happened in the state of Gujarat and the implications for the future. Personally I was glad that the director Rakesh Sharma has taken up the task to make a film about a topic that he was preturbed by and do a very good job of it...if you do watch it dont miss the last 10 mins of the film which shows an interview that would make any person in their right mind think.

Enough on serious topics on a lighter note I am planning to go pistol shooting tonight with the local marksman club around here, last time we went and inspite of being the first time at a shooting range, to quote our trainer
shot the crap out of the paper target and the bullseye mark
this time we graduate from .22 pistols and revolvers to .38 caliber ones which means more noise and more fun (not that with those ear muffs i can hear much)

Will post a report of that and more later

I just wanted to see where this shows up, I am still experimenting I know I am kind of late ctaching with the blogging culture but I believe better late than never. Also catching up late has been the story of my life more on this in later blogs.

I am trying to create headlines or sections within which I can show various blogs but still struggling with it. Hope to spend some more time with this tonight and figure that out. Ya I wish I would do that going to see a controversial documentary about Riots in India tonight and have loads of stuff to do before thursday

Oh well tomorrow is another day.

lost as a baby

I think the title fits the state I am in, I am trying out two tools simultaneously to create a blog Blogger (no prizes for guessing that) and Bloglines lets see which one I decide to stick with.

True this is not my very first blog I did try creating one earlier and I did manage to make a post but I never followed up on it, this time with renewed vigor I plan to maintain this on a semi daily basis. Oh by the way I dont know why but I love the Trebuchet font!

Darn it I tried adding a picture of a lost baby to my title it does not work....time to spend some time in the help section I guess

I will carry text from my previous blog and add it at some point in time...heres to a new begining of a digital life
