customer service...or trash talk?

Even I am surprised how I could use the two seemingly unconnected terms in the same title, so it happens I wander over to the local foodcourt from where I get my lunch albeit a lot later than lunch time (3.30!) I am standing in the line at subway with a couple of more people around there...now since our foodcourt is undergoing construction a couple of the vendors namely Wendys and Taco Bell are moving out and two news joints are going to open in a short while. The lady (or should I say girl?) behind the counter is heating our personal pizzas and its gonna take a couple of minutes so she goes ahead and informs us that how the food in wendys was greasy and not healthy where as subway is better blah blah. She also complains that because one of the new joints is a pizza place they wont be able to serve pizzas anymore (a fact surprisingly I had given thought to a couple of weeks ago) and then she launches into the worst 30 mins of trash talking I HAVE HEARD ABOUT COMPETITORS...agreed you were giving information about your product but why put someone else down. Or is that customer service Subway style...you cant look good if you dont make others look bad?

Frankly for me, being a veggie, Taco Bell had more choices than the mandatory two I have at Subway although I dint care about Wendys. But there is a fine line between customer service and trash talk...I dont know who decides that maybe the gurus of advertising do!

just life...thats all

Talk about having a lazy weekend yesterday was just perfect to lie in bed snooze catch a movie and the kind of day when you dont want to move out of bed to even pick up your cell phone that does not stop ringing just when you dont want it to

Today was a little more active but in a lazed out manner where you dont really look at the clock before you do things. Got ready with my morning chores out of the way by 1 walked over to the nearest IHOP which my roomie has been really keen on eating at. Typical american joint not much choice for veggies like me but I like the limited fair they have, greasy cheesy and high calorie junk food. Just the perfect kind of food for the day I was having, ordered a hot chocolate, onion rings and potato pancakes nothing extraordinary but palatable. It was no doubt heavy on the stomach and came very close to exploding my stomach surprisingly with such a less quantity of food.

Stayed home and finished the last level of Medal of Honor on my PS2, wound up going to to drop a friend of mine at the airport with another firend. Since I cant drive I just tagged along for the ride and guess the company. Thought the day would take its own course and come back in the evening and get some work done...well things got interesting. We reached the airport late which I am not surprised after leaving just an hour before the planes departure time and having close to 45 miles to covere I never expected us to make it on time but hey crazy things have happened. So she missed her flight and sat in the airport lobby sobbing about missing the flight, I dont know if she was more angry about that or that she could not meet her dad on fathers day. I guess a little of both...she did manage to get a ticket for the next day without paying anything (by coming up with a story of having car trouble...devised by your truly). I so missed having a camera would have loved to capture her in that moment and then torture her later :) I know I am evil!

As a result we end up sitting at my place watching Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and having dinner which I had to make. Like I said perfect weekend just lazy where nothing went by the clock literally
