the stuck monkey
Once upon a time there was an Uakaris monkey who was very jolly and happy would love to explore the world around him and swing from branches to branches. It did not bother him that he had a short tail as compared to most of the other monkeys. While roaming around the jungle once he came across a path he had never been through.
As he went further towards the path the trees started getting thicker and thicker and the weather got foggier until he became aware that he was very lonely in this place and he could not recognize anything around him. So he slowed down and swings from one branch to the other very cautiously until he reached a point where because of the fog he could not see anything ahead of him. Now he started observing each branch before he swings to it and his pace comes to a crawl.
He reaches a point where he is holding on to a branch and worrying should he go on to the next one what if it breaks down or cracks he can neither see the sky above nor the ground below and then he reaches a point where he is holding one branch by one arm and the another by the other arm but he is no longer sure of what to do? He cannot see anything in front of him so he doesn't want to move ahead...but he has already seen things behind of him and so he does not want to retreat without finding things further ahead.
He reaches a point where he knows he cant hold on to these branches forever and he needs to decide whether to go back to his old ways or move forward...he has to take a leap of faith. We all have to at some point in time with the amount of information in hand and whatever we know about our given situation. We are just afraid to let go and we are stuck like this monkey.
The choice is there for us to make...this blog has been like that monkey have been trying to many things simultaneously and instead of doing them I ended up just planning them I am gonna take a step forward see what the fog has in store...
Happy New Year!!!
